INTRODUCTION:

Troxerutin, also known as vitamin P4, is a tri-hydroxyethylated derivative of natural bioflavonoid rutins which can inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and depress ER stress-mediated NOD activation.
Troxerutin can inhibit platelet aggregation, prevent thrombosis, can cure the vascular injury induced by 5 serotonin or bradykinin, increase the capillary resistance, reduce the capillary permeability, prevent edema caused by the increasement of vascular permeability. It has the significant protective effect to acute ischemic brain injury.
